BACKGROUNDJim and Margaret Jarding have a strong belief in the importance of Catholic education. The Jarding family has truly lived the Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools' mission of Community, Faith, and Excellence as students, parents and for Margaret, as a teacher as well. Knowing that the prayers and support of the entire Catholic school community were with their family while Jim battled cancer meant everything to the Jardings. Jim felt strongly that the only way to grow the faith community was to pass it on and be an example for others. Providing a scholarship for students to attend St. Michael Elementary, where faith is a part of their everyday lives, is the Jardings' way of paying it forward.
BENEFITSThe recipient of the Jim and Margaret Jarding Family Scholarship will receive an award certificate in May as well as a tuition credit for the following fall semester at St. Michael Elementary. The recipient will be determined by the scholarship selection committee.
